IFJ is a multi-national joint venture founded in May 2010, whose primary office is located in Tokyo, Japan. We are specialized in three domains of business, namely Japanese art crafts wholesaling , tourism, and consulting. They seem to be completely separated matters but in fact are bound by one theme. That is to give intellectual life-seekers all over the world a joy and soulful experiences through what is so unique about Japan and Asia.

TAKAYA Akiyuki TAKAYA Akiyuki

Born in Tokyo in 1971. Graduated from Toho University in Tokyo with B.S. in Biomolecular Science and joined a Japanese medical equipment manufacturer called TERUMO CORPORATION in 1994. Being as an expatriate in Hong Kong between 2000 and 2003 and in Beijing between 2003 and 2009, built an extensive, international marketing career in its cardiovascular product lines and contributed to the company's thirtyfold growth of the business volume in the Chinese market. After having locally enjoyed the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, came back to Japan in 2009 and happened to encounter Japanese traditional art crafts anew. Deeply impressed by their beauty, decided to dedicate myself to introducing modern Japanese art crafts to overseas along with their cultural backgrounds. After a year of preparation, went independent and founded If-J Co., Ltd. in 2010.

MATSUO Takuya MATSUO Takuya

Born in 1970 in Tokyo. Graduated from University of San Francisco in California, USA with B.S. and joined a Japanese medical equipment manufacturer called TERUMO CORPORATION in 1994. After pursuing career as an IT consultant in Japanese info-communication giant - NTT Group between 1999 and 2008, decided to follow the path of entrepreneurship. After two years of preparation, went independent and founded FOUR DESIGN, LLC in 2010. Currently, active as a "Business-process-designer" to explore the venture dedicated to bridging the home country and the rest of the world in "integral" way.

MASAKO Wada MASAKO Wada

Born in Fukuoka, Japan and graduated from Waseda University in 2000 with a major in economics. Subsequently joining the Toppan Printing Company in Tokyo and gaining extensive experience in marketing through a position as marketing manager from 2000 to 2003. This experience proved to be valuable in 2003 in a move to Beijing to the Japanese advertising giant Dentsu. The opportunity to work with major clients such as Toyota and Shiseido was an experience that truly expanded horizons. Most significantly, an advertising campaign conducted from 2010-2011 to attract tourism to Japan provided the foundations for the execution of expertise in the arena of Sino Japanese trade today.

    IWATA Aya − Business Coordinator
    Residing in Paris, France since 1993. After building an extensive retailing career as a manager of a French apparel shop and a management executive of a Franco-Japonaise patisserie, worked as a sales, area-chief of a prestigious French creator’s brand for ten years since 1999. Having witnessed a rise of Europe’s interests in Japanese designs and crafts culture, launched a coordination / agent business as a freelancer in the domains of fashion, textile, and design for their promotion and pioneering sales channels.
